The Caravan's “The Bridge” Exhibition

The Caravan's “The Bridge” Exhibition

The Bridge is an East-West travelling art exhibition organised and curated by CARAVAN, an interreligious and intercultural peace building NGO. It showcases the work of 47 premier contemporary visual artists from 15 countries. Each artist has submitted one original work (created specifically for the exhibition) addressing the theme.

This unmissable exhibition has enabled artists to focus on what they hold in common through their cultures and creeds: Christian, Muslim and Jewish. In this time of turbulence around the world The Bridge aims to provide a link not only within communities, but between communities, building on interfaith work, and looking at ways we can develop a world that inherently respects and honours cultural and religious diversity.

Following residencies in Paris and Cairo The Bridge comes to the foyer of St Martin’s for two months as part of our growing exhibitions programme. The themes of the exhibition are reflected in St Martin’s long history of being a meeting place of ideas, cultures and traditions.

The exhibition is free and all are welcome.
