AMEN- A Prayer for the World Exhibition Launch in Cairo

As Egypt steps into her future, the 6th CARAVAN Exhibition of Visual Art sponsored by SODIC opened in Cairo on June 17, 2014.

The exhibition, "AMEN- A Prayer for the World", is an aspirational expression of hope and goodwill coming “out of Egypt” for the peoples of the Middle East and the rest of the world. The exhibition is co-curated by CARAVAN founder Rev. Paul-Gordon Chandler and participating celebrated Egyptian artist Reda Abdel Rahman.

The exhibition will be on display in Cairo starting June 17 and will then travel to Washington D.C, where they will be exhibited at the world-renowned National Cathedral (August 30 - October 6). The traveling exhibition will end its journey in New York City at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine (October 12 - November 16) where the figures will be auctioned off by Sotheby's.

A percentage of the proceeds from the sale and auction of the sculptures in the US will be channeled towards building and operating a school in Ezbet Khairallah in Istabl Antar.
