“WOMEN’S STORIES” AT THE ARAB AMERICAN DAY PRESENTED BY THE LEAGUE OF ARAB STATES AND THE UNITED STATES INSTITUTE OF PEACE
On December 5th, 2016, Syra Arts was pleased to curate the exhibition “Women’s Stories “ in Celebration of the 5th Annual Arab-American Day sponsored by The League of Arab States and the United States Institute of Peace, The exhibition celebrates the empowerment of female leaders and includes artworks by female artists living and working in the Arab World or in the United States as well as works by their male counterparts illustrating the role and relevance of women in the social and cultural structure of the region as well as their importance in the economic development throughout the Middle East. Artists include Helen Zughaib, Manal Deeb, Mawwadeh Allak, Lina Alattar, Najwa Alamin, Salemeh Nematt, Mohamed Mehdi, Marwa Adel, Haya Al-Hossain, Qais Al Sindy, and Shaker Alossi and Mona El Bayoumi
