Essam Marouf (b. 1950)

Born in Cairo, Egypt in 1958; he lives and works between Cairo and Amsterdam, Holland. He holds a BFA in painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University since 1981.

He pursued advanced painting studies at the Accademia di Bella Arte in Rome from 1982 till 1985, before moving to Amsterdam in 1986. His works are found in many museums and private collections .
